For when you're stuck in a car or the house

The BOB (Big Orange Bag) is not designed to be mobile for long. It’s meant to stay with a car or in a house in case of a natural disaster or snowstorm. The primary focus is this kit is on food, water, first aid, and warm and dry products. The likelihood of the owner of this kit hunting and fishing is very low, but we added water purification means and a stove with heat tabs to melt and purify snow in case you have to.

Since a vehicle has shelter, light, and warmth (for a limited time at least) we didn’t focus on a tent, but packed a fleece sleeping bag, blanket, poncho, and plenty of hand warmers. We also customized it with items most survival kits don’t normally have like a small shovel, lantern, and MREs. There is a robust medical kit and a vehicle escape tool to get out quickly in case of a rollover. We then added a stove with heat tablets, a canteen cup, and a deck of cards to combat the boredom. In this situation the owner may be idle for many days, so boiling water to make tea / coffee / cocoa and a deck playing cards help kill the time.

The whole kit is packed into a blaze orange bag that can double as a signal for aircraft or passing trucks. Optional tactical black available too. All food and water items have a 4-5 year shelf life.
